Meet The Trainer Who Coaches The Rock, Flex Wheeler Among Others

Charles Glass is a master bodybuilding coach behind some of the greatest physiques in the world.
You might not have heard of him, but you’ll definitely know his clients; Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Flex Wheeler, Dexter Jackson, Magic Johnson, Shawn Rhoden…the list goes on and on.
Charles Glass has established himself as one of the best trainers in the world. But he comes at a price – $225 per hour.

He advocates regular health checkups for his clients

Looking at the current mass monsters that step-on stage at the Mr. Olympia, it’s quietly accepted that bodybuilders are mostly steroid users (this will no doubt cause some controversy in the comments section…)
One thing that Charles Glass encourages his clients to do, is visit the doctor regularly; this is because he experienced the health risks during his time as a bodybuilder.
Speaking to the New York Times about his past experiences, Glass said:
“At my heaviest, I was 262 pounds. I was taking health risks, and I didn’t want to do that. I couldn’t walk without breathing like a madman, I thought, do I really want to do this?”

Impressive list of clients

Although Glass enjoyed some success, notably winning a trophy in a 1983 IFBB Championship as a middleweight. But it’s easy to see that he’s found much more success as a coach.
Since he began training bodybuilders, he’s had an impressive list of clients.

  1. A rock is a solid collection of mineral grains that grow or become cemented together. Some rocks are large while others are small. Small rocks are called pebbles. Every rock is made up of one or more minerals. Geologists (people who study rocks and minerals) classify rocks according to the way they are formed.
